Key facts regarding age-related biological and physiological system changes are presented in this module. The fundamental and universal processes of aging, theories of aging, and some basic concepts of gerontology, are presented, in non-technical language. An understanding of these principles strengthens the students’ approach to communication with, and age-friendly service to seniors.
