This module addresses an often-neglected aspect of the lives of seniors. Patterns of religious involvement, and how these change with age, are discussed. The distinction is made between religion and spirituality. Students are given insight into how the core-values and spiritual needs of older persons play a significant part in their decision-making and consumer behaviour. An understanding of these elements enhances the students’ ability to build appropriate relationships with the older age group.
