The Age-Friendly Business® Foundation Course provides an introduction to some of the universal processes of aging that impact how our customers access our commercial outlets and services, and engage with our service providers.  This dynamic 2 hour online course presents a range of considerations …from ageism to Alzheimer’s disease;  from vision and hearing changes to increased creativity and verbal skills; from fall prevention to effective communication — there is something to learn for all industries. You’ll understand better some of the realities of growing older, and how you can make your business more accessible, safe, and respectful for your customers.

In order for a business to acquire Membership in the Age-Friendly Business® Alliance, all staff interacting with the public must complete the Foundation Course, the business must agree to abide by the Age-Friendly Business® Code of Service, and maintain annual membership.
